Post-Doc positions available at CEA Grenoble on DNA based-Nanotechnologies

CEA is launching in 2013 a transversal project from fundamental research to technology entitled “3D bio-inspired Nano-scale Assembly (3DNA)”. This project aims at creating a synergy between researchers and technologists in order to develop a specific toolbox thanks to the auto-assembly properties of DNA and proteins. For the first year, several postdoctoral positions are opened in the research fields related to modified DNA synthesis and functionalization, DNA & proteins architectures preparation (DNA origami, protein crystallization,...), advanced spectroscopy & lithography with these bio-bricks and 2D/3D interconnections. The students will be located in different units at CEA-GRENOBLE, MINATEC Campus, and they will exchange frequently between themselves and with all others people involved in this multidisciplinary project.

The postdoctoral fellow positions will start as soon as possible in the second half of 2013. Initial institutional funding is available at least for one year, with a possible additional year (the applicant will be also expected to candidate for external sources of funding). We invite applications from highly self-motivated individuals holding a PhD degree (in biochemistry, chemistry, physics, electronics) and expressing a strong interest in the fields of DNA-based architectures and bio-inspired nanotechnologies mentioned above.

Persons to contact for these post-doctoral positions: Candidates should send their application including a motivation letter, CV and two contact addresses for references to Dr. Didier Gasparutto ( and to Dr. Xavier Baillin (
