LOW FREQUECY NOISE IN MAGNETIC TUNNEL JUNCTIONS

During the last few years interest has been grown to noise studies as essentially new instrument to obtain information about physical processes in meso- and nanostructures. In this talk, after brief pedagogical introduction about different aspects of the noise in the systems in and out of equilibrium (thermal noise, 1/f and shot noise) we will present our recent results on the noise in epitaxial and non-epitaxial magnetic tunnel junctions. It seems that these experiments [1,2] could provide some new information about defects inside insulating barrier, which is not possible to obtain by using direct electron transport measurements.
