CEA Research Director for the fields of semiconductor nanostructures and nanophotonics


Present research topics

              Physics of semiconductor quantum dots               

              Innovative photonic microstructures (photonic wires and photonic "trumpets"...)

              Quantum optics experiments using quantum dots as artificial atoms (solid-state CQED, generation of quantum light states)

              Novel devices for quantum photonics

                         _ single-mode single photon source based on a QD in a photonic wire

                         _ superconducting nanowire single photon detector

                         _ laser-OPO diode

             Ultrafast switching (~1-100 ps) of optical microcavities and related applications
