Chemistry-Biology Interface for environment, health and toxicology (CIBEST)

The chemists and biologists of the CIBEST team (CIBEST stands for " Chemistry-Biology Interface for environment, health and toxicology ")  use complementary approaches to understand the mechanisms involved in the human and environmental toxicity of physical or chemical agents.

Our multiple competences in synthesis, analytical chemistry, spectroscopies, biochemistry and molecular and cellular biology allow us to propose multidisciplinary approaches to better elucidate the deleterious effects of ionizing or UV radiations, environmental pollutants, metals and nanoparticles.

These mechanistic studies provide key elements to improve human health and our second objective is therefore the development of innovative therapeutic approaches or diagnostic tools by developing new molecules or biomolecules or using genotoxic agents.
