Scanning tunneling spectroscopy

Scanning Tunneling Microscope

INAC has pioneered the development of near field microscopy at very low temperature. We developed a scanning tunneling microscope operating at 50 mK which has contributed important discoveries in the field of disorder-driven superconductor-insulator transition. Today it is also a key instrument for the study of 2D materials.
