2 years postdoc position opening at SPINTEC in the framework of the H2020 EU FET-OPEN SPICE (2017-2020) project on "Development of optically sensitive storage layer materials to be integrated in magnetic tunnel junctions"
Spin Transfer Torque Random Access Memories (STT-RAM) are focusing an increasing interest in microelectronics industry due to their non-volatility, speed, density, downsize scalability to below 20nm nodes, infinite endurance plus radiation hardness. Major microelectronics companies are aiming at DRAM replacement by STTRAM below the 20nm technology node. An interesting trend that improves the write speed and power of such spintronic memory is the discovery of magnetization reversal by femtosecond laser pulses in thin ferromagnetic Gd/Fe/Co films. Recent results show that a wide class of magnetic materials can be switched in this way.

12-month postdoctoral position: Graphene/2D layer transfer technologies
A postdoctoral position in the physics and technology of layer transfer is available as part of the research program "Programme Tranverse de Compétence" between basic and applied research departments of the CEA. The research will be performed in collaboration with researchers of Institut Nanosciences et Cryogénie of CEA (INAC) and Laboratoire d'Electronique et Technologie de l'Information (LETI). The project will be concerned with transfer technologies of Graphene or other 2D layers (e.g. TMDs) from a donor substrate (usually the growth substrate) to a host substrate (usually the substrate required for applications). Assistance to detachment by light gas implantion at low energy will be studied.

18-month postdoctoral position: Magnetically actuated metamaterials for biotechnology applications
The SPINTEC and SyMMES labs offer an 18 months post-doctoral position on the development of magnetically actuated metamaterials prototypes for biotechnology applications. This work is part of the ABIOMATER European FET project, aiming at the creation of magnetically actuated soft metamaterials as a basis for micro-mechanical devices. This is achieved by the understanding of the fundamental physics of such materials, and the demonstration of their technological potential.
