New release of V_Sim, visualization software of atomic structures.

New release of V_Sim, visualization software of atomic structures.
V_Sim (" visualize simulations ") is a software written in the L_Sim lab. It is now available in version 3.1, for Linux and WindowsXP. V_Sim visualizes atomic structures such as crystals or molecules in 3D. The user can interact through many functions to choose the view, the size of the atoms, their color, the atomic bonds, the type of fog... New in this release, V_Sim can now render surfaces, enabling the possibility to show electronic iso-density for example. A new representation is available to draw atomic vector information (position and orientation of "spins" for instance) by showing colored arrows. An interface has been added to choose and draw characteristic planes and to eventually mask atoms accordingly.

Postdoc position at CEA Grenoble: multiscale simulation of diffusion in SiGe

Postdoc position at CEA Grenoble: multiscale simulation of diffusion in SiGe
The subject of this Postdoctoral study is to understand the diffusion processes in SiGe using an atomistic multilevel approach, combining ab initio and kinetic Monte Carlo calculations. This work will take place in CEA Grenoble within the simulation laboratory of the basic research department of CEA-DSM in close collaboration with the simulation laboratory of the nanoelectronic department of CEA-LETI. See the pdf file below.
