Post-doc position on Quantum Transport in Resistive Memories
A 12-month (possibly extendable to 24-month) post-doc position is open at CEA/INAC, in strong relationship with CEA/LETI on: Quantum Transport at Very Low Temperatures in Resistive Memories Applications are awaited as of now. Summary: Quantum effects observed at low temperature in low dimensional conductors are now well understood: conductance quantum, universal quantum fluctuations, weak localization effects, Coulomb blockade, multiple Andreev reflexions at normal/superconducting interfaces... They can even be used as the signature of physical singularities controlling electrical transport (tunnel or point contact, 1D filament...).

Workshop "New computing paradigms and low power consumption in Microelectronics" Grenoble 16-17 December 2015
Do we need new devices or new computing paradigms (quantum, adiabatic, neuromorphic…) to boost the power/performance trade-off of computers in the future? What are the physical limitations to power consumption and speed in logical circuits? These issues will be presented by reckoned experts from Grenoble and outside. Registration online is free of charge but mandatory, and based on first come - first served basis as the audience will be limited to 120 Attendees. To submit a poster, simply mention its title while registering online. The participation of PhD and post-doc fellows is warmly encouraged! 12-month post doctoral position in cryogenic turbulence
Domain: development and microfabrication of cryogenic temperature sensors. Title: NbN microfabricated hot films for the characterization of turbulent cryogenic flows. The Low Temperature Laboratory at CEA-Grenoble (SBT) operates two major cryogenic facilities able to produce highly turbulent cryogenic flows: the HeJET facility [1] – a superfluid helium free jet - and the SHREK facility [2] – the world largest Von Karman flow, able to work with both superfluid and supercritical helium. These two facilities need a panel of advanced sensors to characterize the turbulence in these flows. For this purpose, CEA-SBT has started for two years a program of microfabrication of hot wires.

Journées Boîtes Quantiques 2015
The next edition of the "Journées Boîtes Quantiques" will take place in Grenoble, on 29-30 june 2015. This is the french quantum dot meeting, which takes place every two years. The aim of this meeting is to provide a forum on quantum dots for scientists from different research branches including physics, materials science and engineering to discuss fabrication techniques, optical and transport properties as well as applications of quantum dots. Note that this conference will be free of charge. The language of the conference will be english. Save already the date on your agenda. You are invited to submit your abstract to JBQ2015 before 17 april 2015.

Academia Industry Matching Event on Cryogenics
Cryogenics has widely contributed to the recent major successes of High Energy Physics (HEP). And conversely, HEP has pushed cryogenic engineering developments to a high level of technical excellence. HEPTech, together with CNRS, CEA, Grenoble University, Lanef and ILL, in close partnership with CERN, the University of Twente, and the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, is organizing an Academia Industry Matching Event on Cryogenics, in Grenoble at the CCI ("Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Grenoble"), scheduled for the 4th and 5th of June 2015. This event aims to explore the subject of Cryogenics and its impact in society and research.
